Description
Fibrelight Self Recovery Ladder
This is a variation of the Fibrelight Emergency Ladder, designed for vessels that operate with limited crews or for people operating vessels on their own. This Fibrelight Self Recovery Ladder stays attached to the side of the vessel at all times. In the event of a man overboard, there is an adjustable cord that allows the MOB pull the ladder from the bag. The bottom of the ladder will then fall into the water, allowing the casualty to climb back up onto the vessel without any further assistance.
Similarly to the Fibrelight Emergency Ladder, this ladder can be deployed in seconds and is designed for single person use. With a standard width of 60m, the self recovery ladders come in lengths ranging from 1-3 meters. The majority of the rungs are made from GRP, except the last rung which is made of stainless steel so that the ladder sinks to a level in line with the user’s foot. These rungs are also constructed using GRP rods and flanged tubular webbing which creates a strong and secure structure.
These ladders exceed the ISO 799 strength test and has been successfully tested for thermal ageing, weathering, UV light and oil resistance.
