• Replace Hammar H20E Hydrostatic Release Unit and bolt after two years of service.
• A spring-activated knife cuts the release rod at a water depth of 1.5 to 4 meters, allowing the EPIRB to float free.
• Expiry date: 24 months after installation
• Bolt and Nut are not included.
• Use only manufacturer-approved replacement bolts.

Servicing Intervals The Hammar H20E needs no annual service, maintenance or spare parts, but MUST BE REPLACED AFTER TWO YEARS INCLUDING THE BOLT. WHEN REPLACING BOLTS, ONLY USE MANUFACTURER-APPROVED BOLTS Approvals The Hammar H20 hydrostatic release units are approved worldwide and fulfil the requirements of the SOLAS 74/96 Convention, Reg. III/4 LSA Code, MO Res. MSC. 48/(66), IMO Res. MSC. 81(70), approved by EU Directive 96/98 EC on Marine Equipment has a NATO stock number. Release depth 1,5 – 4,0 metres according to IMO/SOLAS regulations. The required certificates can be downloaded under Approvals.
