The Ikaros Customised Flare Pack for Commercial Use is designed to give you the freedom to choose which flares you need. Whether you need to supplement existing flares or need a flare pack that isn’t ready-made for you, the custom flare pack is ideal for you.

All of the flares featured are dated when manufactured and expiry is 4 years from the manufacturer’s date.

Option to add an Ocean Safety Polybottle to safely stow the flares. Sizes available Small (suitable for hand flares and rockets) Medium or Large (suitable for hand flares, rockets and buoyant smokes)

IKAROS Red Parachute Rocket

The Ikaros red parachute rocket is used for long-range distress signalling on ships, lifeboats and life rafts. When activated, it launches a signal flare to attract the attention of rescuers.

The launching tube features clear instructions for use, and its non-slip surface ensures safe operation even when you launch it with one hand. The parachute flare is waterproof and can be held underwater when fired.

IKAROS Red Hand Flare

The Ikaros red hand flare is designed to give maximum output from a minimum-size container.

This distress flare is a day and night, short-range handheld flare for ships, lifeboats and life rafts. It is also the best pinpoint signal for recreational boats.

The red hand flare has been developed from our parachute flare, which is known to be the best in the world. The case is made of corrosion-resistant steel and carries clear and simple instructions for use. This hand flare has been approved globally and meets the latest SOLAS regulations.

IKAROS Orange Buoyant Smoke

The Ikaros orange buoyant smoke is a daylight signal flare that can be used on ships, lifeboats and life rafts.

This smoke signal emits a dense orange smoke visible from boats several kilometres away. It also provides great visibility for search and rescue helicopters and aeroplanes.

The case is made of corrosion-resistant steel and carries clear and simple instructions, making the emergency signal very easy to use. To activate it, simply remove the lid, pull the internal loop and throw it into the water. It will immediately emit emergency smoke to attract attention.

The orange buoyant smoke signal has been approved globally and meets the latest SOLAS regulations.

The Ikaros handheld orange smoke is a marine flare designed to give maximum output from a minimum-size container.

The orange hand smoke is a daytime distress flare and an excellent choice for your leisure boat. The dense smoke also shows the wind direction. This orange hand smoke is, like all of our products, easy to use and comes with clear instructions.

IKAROS White Hand Flare

The Ikaros white handheld flare is designed to give maximum output from a minimum-size container.

The white hand flare acts as a warn-off signal and is used by vessels and pleasure craft. It can be used both day and night. When dark it is also suitable to illuminate the area around you.

This is not a distress flare – it is used to attract other vessels’ attention to warn them you may be on a potential collision course when the vessel is not taking the appropriate avoidance action. Could also be used to illuminate a man overboard at night.
