Fibrelight MOB Recovery Cradle
The Fibrelight MOB Recovery Cradle is an MCA approved recovery device. Designed to aid Man overboard recovery operations, this recovery cradle can be operated by a single crewmember.
This cradle is lightweight and portable which makes deployment and storage onboard your vessel easier. The cradle works by securing one end to the vessel and the outboard end is held away either by boat hook or by hand. The man overboard is then guided to the cradle and rolled onto the vessel using a parbuckling action.
Additionally, this cradle is highly versatile and can be used as a boarding ladder, scramble net and a stretcher.
The workload for the cradle when used as a cradle is 150kgs and 600kgs when used as a scramble net.
There is a 3 year manufacturer’s warranty on this equipment, and it requires minimal maintenance.
The requirements state that the cradle has to be visually inspected monthly by a crew-member, as opposed to an annual servicing.
This product is designed for use by rescue crafts, rigid inflatables, ship lifeboats, tug boats and marines, however, can be used by any vessel of a suitable size.
