The McMurdo FastFind 220 PLB has been upgraded with advanced multi-constellation GNSS receivers, operating with both US GPS and the newly activated European Galileo satellite systems. This enhancement delivers increased global coverage, faster detection, and greater location accuracy compared with single-GNSS beacons.
By utilising Galileo alongside GPS, the FastFind 220 benefits from improved accuracy, true global coverage including polar regions, and enhanced performance in challenging environments such as canyons and gorges, where satellite visibility may be restricted. Fully MEOSAR compatible, the FastFind 220 ensures rapid alert detection and reliable positioning when every second matters.
Building on the proven success of the FastFind range, the FastFind 220 sets new standards in 406 MHz Personal Locator Beacon technology. Extremely compact and lightweight, it fits easily into a pocket or pack and can be carried as a last-resort safety device for remote travel, outdoor activities, offshore work, and adventure sports—anywhere in the world.
