Electronic Safety Devices
Electronic Safety Devices Electronic marine safety devices are essential tools for ensuring the safety and security of marine vessels. These devices can range from simple alarms to more complex systems that monitor the vessel’s position, speed, and weather conditions. Some of the most common electronic marine safety devices include radar systems, GPS navigation systems, automatic identification systems (AIS), life rafts, and emergency beacons. By using these devices, marine operators can navigate more safely and respond more quickly to emergencies, ultimately reducing the risk of accidents and injuries at sea.
EPIRBS, MOBs, PLBS & SARTS
EPIRBs, MOBs, PLBs & SARTS EPIRBs, MOBs, PLBs, and SARTs are important tools used for safety and emergency purposes in marine and outdoor environments. EPIRBs (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons) are used to alert rescue services in the event of an emergency at sea. MOBs (Man Overboard Devices) are personal devices that can be activated by the wearer or can be triggered automatically when a person falls into the water. PLBs (Personal Locator Beacons) are similar to EPIRBs but are designed for personal use in remote areas. SARTs (Search and Rescue Transponders) are devices used to locate vessels or life rafts in distress and can help rescue services locate the source of the emergency.
