How Suffolk Marine Safety is managing Covid-19:

If you are looking to hire, service or purchase with Suffolk Marine Safety, all of these services are still available.

We can arrange all of these services online, over the phone or via email. We are still operating our advertised opening hours of 08:30 – 17:30 and still have options for collection and delivery to multiple locations, as well as access to our postal and courier services. We do ask customers to be prepared for potential prolonged waiting times on services and deliveries as we manage the impact of Covid-19.

The only advertised service we are currently unable to advise on are the Survival Training courses, but we will update any news we have in this section of our website.

We have taken all the necessary steps to ensure we are Covid secure. Our members of staff have undergone essential training to make sure we keep ourselves and our customers safe and every measure has been taken to make sure we can continue with the excellent service you have come to know from Suffolk Marine Safety. To help us to do this we have to ask our customers to adapt to some changes to the way we operate, such as:

  1. We are asking as many of you as possible to arrange an appointment in advance. If you know you need to bring in items for us to service, please give us a call on 01473 833010 so we can take down your details and book you in.
  2. The shop is open and we are looking forward to seeing you all. We do ask that we keep the number of customers in the shop limited to one person at a time, with the exception of minors from the same household or those who require assisted shopping.
  3. If you need to come into the shop for your purchases please observe the one in one out rule, you can use the external window, or the internal shop door to assess whether it is free to enter.
  4. Hand sanitising gel is available when you come into store, all gloves and face coverings are welcome and encouraged.
  5. There will be clear markings on the floor inside the shop to ensure you are able to keep a 2 meter distance from the reception desk.
  6. We kindly ask our customers not to offer help lifting items with members of staff, or passing things hand to hand. Please leave your items in your car and we will arrange for an appropriate team to retrieve it.
  7. We are currently unable to assist any customers with lifejacket fittings, but we welcome you to try these on yourself.
  8. We do ask that you can pay electronically, using our bank details, over the phone, using card, contactless or apple pay. Please avoid using cash where possible.
  9. We must insist that any customers confirmed with, or showing symptoms of, Covid-19 refrain from booking a contact free appointment until they are recovered.
