EPIRBs, MOBs, PLBs & SARTS

EPIRBs, MOBs, PLBs, and SARTs are important tools used for safety and emergency purposes in marine and outdoor environments. EPIRBs (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons) are used to alert rescue services in the event of an emergency at sea. MOBs (Man Overboard Devices) are personal devices that can be activated by the wearer or can be triggered automatically when a person falls into the water. PLBs (Personal Locator Beacons) are similar to EPIRBs but are designed for personal use in remote areas. SARTs (Search and Rescue Transponders) are devices used to locate vessels or life rafts in distress and can help rescue services locate the source of the emergency.
