Introducing the most advanced Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) available. The new ACR GlobalFix V5 EPIRB combines 406 MHz satellite connectivity with Automatic Identification System (AIS) functionality. When activated, it not only transmits your emergency signal to the global Cospas-Sarsat satellite rescue system but also broadcasts an AIS safety message on VHF frequencies. This signal can be immediately detected by any AIS-equipped vessel nearby, allowing local vessels in the vicinity to commence rescue and recovery operations without waiting for an official response from the relevant search and rescue authorities.
The addition of Return Link Service (RLS) technology provides visual confirmation that a distress signal has been received, reducing anxiety in an emergency. Other key features include a 121.5 MHz homing signal and visible and infrared strobe lights for easier target identification at night or in poor visibility conditions.
ACR is a global leader in marine safety and rescue technology, and the new ACR GlobalFix V5 EPIRB with AIS combines the durability and reliability they are renowned for with cutting-edge technology designed to reduce rescue response times.
